Meet DP1 and DP2: The Universal Drain Pumps Service Techs Trust
Two reliable solutions for hundreds of repairs
If you’ve been in appliance repair for any length of time, you’ve probably crossed paths with the DP1 and DP2. These two universal drain pumps have quietly become trusted staples for service technicians and distributors alike … and for good reason.
In a world of endless OEM-specific part numbers and subtle design changes, DP1 and DP2 simplify the job. They’re the backbone of our SKUduction™ program, helping you “Repair More. Stock Less.”
Why So Many Techs Know These Pumps
Drain pumps are one of the most commonly replaced components in washers. But between different brands and models, OEM pumps vary in small but critical ways; mounting brackets, wiring harnesses, even the angle of the inlet and outlet.
DP1 and DP2 were designed to cut through that complexity. Together, they cover hundreds of OEM models, and each kit includes the adapters and hardware needed to make installation straightforward.
What’s the Difference Between DP1 and DP2?
DP1
The original universal drain pump. Works with a wide variety of washers and includes adapters for different wiring harnesses.DP2
Adds an “L” mounting bracket and butt-end connectors for even more flexibility across OEM designs.
Between them, there’s almost no modern washer they can’t cover.

A Few Notes for Installations
While DP1 and DP2 cover hundreds of pumps, certain OEM models may require minor modifications:
Reverse harness on Electrolux and Whirlpool applications.
Spade or tab harnesses for some GE and Samsung models.
L-bracket installation with DP2 for specific Whirlpool washers.
We’ve limited our active OEM cross-reference list to relevant and widely used part numbers, but these pumps are capable of replacing older, legacy models too.
Why Techs Say “Ask for Choice”
Distributors love DP1 and DP2 because they simplify inventory. Service technicians love them because they work. And customers love them because their appliances get fixed faster.
So next time you’re stocking up or heading out for a call, remember:
“One truck. Two pumps. Hundreds of repairs.”
